WHAT IS PROJECT MAKERS?

A unique program for entrepreneurs

Project Makers is a project designed to provide education, resources, technology and support to youth and adults in disadvantaged communities who want to establish or formalize their business. It was born from Vimenti 's economic development pillar with the mission of reducing child poverty and promoting economic mobility in Puerto Rico, helping individuals and businesses with the business tools to make a social and economic impact on families in marginalized communities.

Project Makers is designed around four continuous phases of services:

  • Startup
  • Support
  • Accelerate
  • Alumni

Project Makers in its Startup phase helps young people and adults in disadvantaged communities who want to establish or formalize their business through access to education, resources, technology and support.

Project Makers en su fase de aceleración de Impacto Social ayuda a emprendedores sociales que quieren desarrollar y/o expandir proyectos que buscan la erradicación de pobreza mediante acceso a capital, tecnología y colaboración.

Alumni Perks

Project Makers Alumni Perks offer participants a valuable connection to the business community through a database that includes key services, contacts and discounts. This network of resources becomes an essential asset in an entrepreneur's journey in establishing and developing small businesses. Thanks to strategic alliances with experts from the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Puerto Rico, our Alumnis obtain direct access to specialized advice and support. To enjoy this benefit you only need to have completed one of the three previous phases of Project Makers: Start Up, Support and/or Accelerate. This opportunity not only enriches the knowledge and network of contacts of the participants, but also provides them with tangible tools for the continued success of their companies, thus generating a positive impact on disadvantaged and low-income communities.
